NAPA Gold Filters OK?
Are the NAPA Gold filters OK to use in the CTD? I noticed that the NAPA filter only has 6 holes around the top, where the Mopar filter has 8.
I know that Fleetguard is Ok to use, anyone know how many holes the Fleetguard has around it. Are there any stores that carry Fleetguard locally?
Thanks
Scott

I am using the Napa Gold as well. Was actually recommended on this site for better mileage and great perfromance, so I went with it. No regrets. I believe someone posted that it carries the same flow rate or better that a K&N does. Either way... I'm happy with it.

I'm about 99.9% that the NAPA Gold 5760XE is a Stratapore re-paint. Totally different that the regular 5760. Unless you buy from an internet retailer, you can get the Stratapore LF16035 much cheaper.

I have only used NAPA filters since the trucks 1st oil change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess we really won't know if there is an issue for a couple hundred thousand miles.

I checked out a 7620XE at the local NAPA. Has eight holes around the top, for whatever difference it may make, and has the Wix name stamped on it, Made in USA. Looks like a quality filter. They want $16.49 for it plus tax. If you run a search on the third gen 5.9 forum you will come up with more info on oil filters than you care to know.
It's really hard to beat Geno's garage and Fleetguard Stratapore for price, quality, and convenience. I think the problem most people have with getting a Fleetguard is that they are hard to find locally, or at least not as convenient as a NAPA.
