The people who pull for a living are pulling heavy loads.They use the commercial rated CC with the aisin ,a commercial rated transmission.The people who prefer six speed manuals should not worry about the auto-trannys and be happy with the 6-shooter.I don't lose any sleep over the decisions DC makes,the marketplace will decide if they are good or bad descisions.

Gonna wait a little while though. I only have 37,681 miles on my truck. It's still new. At this rate it will be several more years before the mileage is up. The backing up part with the manual I knew would be an issue. That's why I haven't done anything. It looks like it will be 6 months before people can give a good experience response to the new drive train. I bet it will be fine unlike the other guys.

You know, call it a wild guess, but I would be willing to bet that the Aisin has a tighter converter and slightly higher line pressures. See my reasoning there is that C&C buyers plan to put their trucks to work and don't care so much about "shift quality". Personally if my head doesn't snap back at least a little when it shifts then it's shifting poorly. Soccer moms more than likely killed the 68rfe as stated before; the fact that there is only a small portion of consumers that actually work these trucks, and more and more soccer moms driving them puts them behind the wheel of how they are designed
