Mine = 07.5 6.7 auto w/ 410,s .it,s been in the shop 8 times for all the usual stuff, flashes ,sencers, turbo and the latest drilling and cleaning. I drive very little interstate and mostly within 20 minutes or so,before the last visit I was all the way up to 13.8 after 12.5 ,the truck is 100% stock and the mpg's here are not towing. I had two 5.9's before this and to be honest I am very dissapointed with this new truck $54,000 ,8 trips to the dealer, terrible fuel mileage the joke is on the consumer.

Last two tanks, hand calculated, were 16.238 mpg and 16.413 mpg on winter blend #2. The Blue Bus is currently at 19k miles or so.
According to my last entry in my spreadsheet, I've driven 18,582 miles, consumed 1,262.235 gallons, spent $4,388.42 consumer dollars, with a cumulative average of 14.722 avg mpg.......including about 6k miles of towing (vehicles on a 2007 GatorMade 16+2 car hauler).
Lowest average mpg's towing was 11.759 and 12.431; the truck was still "tight" at only 3200 miles on the odometer.

I did a small trip in town yesterday and got my best ever MPG's. I can usually average 24-25 but saw 28+ yesterday on the overhead. I would say conditions were pretty ideal, just enough traffic to keep speed around 55MPH, no regens and not much of any wind. My truck is an '08 with ~7500 miles, no trips to the dealer, Edge Juice w/Attitude, AirRaid Intake, EGR Unplugged. The picture was taken at the end of the ~25 mile trip. Taken on my phone, not the best image quality, but readable.

If it's not done miles divided by gallons then most of the time it's not even close to what your really getting, especially since you've done some other modes. Put about 400mi on that tank and see what it says.
Case in point I had 129mi on a tank and my overhead read 29.1 but only got 17.5. I'd seen over 30 on the overhead after fueling and going mostly down hill for the first 10mi or so.

Maybe I should have requested the overhead as well as the hand calculated averages. That way the people that only use the overhead wouldn't bother since they only have the one source.
I haven't filled up yet only 240mi on the truck. The guessing gauge with the egr plug pulled was 15.8 at 70mph.

The 05 gives me 20 - 21 MPGS on the highway hand calculated (1400 mile road trip).. winter no A/C very seldom exceeding 2100 RPM..
The 08 well we won't go there Lots of high idle time..

Interesting difference I'm getting between San Diego and Denver. Before my move, I was getting around 12.5 mpg before unplugging the EGR. Afterwards it moved up to around 14.5. Since I've been in Denver, after 3 tankfuls, I'm consistently around 16.5. I would have thought the altitude would have made a negative difference. Then again it's been so freaking cold that maybe the cold dry air is helping the mileage a bit. Who knows. All I know is that I'm doing about 2 MPG better in Denver than San Diego. I'm getting that mileage while having to shift between 4WD HI in the soft slushy stuff and 2WD mode when it dries out. I'm not in 4WD HI too terribly much, but I have had to drive all the way into work in 4WD. My stock tires suck in the snow!!!
One last note...as I was hauling my fully loaded toyhauler over the mountains from San Diego, I got much better mileage in the Colorado mountains than I did in the Utah mountains, oddly enough. I got 13.3 MPG between Grand Junction and Denver. I never got past 11 at any point on the trip before Grand Junction. Maybe my truck is getting past that magical 15k break-in mark. Who knows, but right now I'm sitting just a little bit past 18K miles.

the turbo charger compensates for the difference in altitude. As for tires get another set of rims and mount your snow tires on them...tall skinny studded tires are hard to beat in the snow and ice.. and can be changed easily when on their own rims..watch the want adds for takes offs when people install a lift kit or upgrade rims.
