Intermittent momentary power hesitation

Intermittent momentary power hesitation
Gents,
Sometimes as I apply the accelerator the truck seems to hesitate for a second. Usually this occurs at about 1400-1500 rpm, but has happened at other numbers. It is just a second of hesitation and then the power comes on suddenly, like a switch has been flipped. I've chalked this up to EGR or other emissions equipment operations. Am I right or should I look for something else. The truck does not always hesitate, just sometimes. Otherwise runs great, never regened or thrown a CEL. Thoughts?

Yeah i think its pretty noticable with the first year of the 6.7. A guy that works with me has had the same problem with his 07.5 hesitating. probly has to do with the older tunes. He wised up and deleted the egr and dpf(no more problems)

Bone stock here. I'll take it in and see what they say. Should I be concerned about any kind of flash that would prohibit me from modding (SMARTY) in the future?

Dodge calls it a tip in stumble. It has something to do with the egr and the electronic throttle control. I had the same problem with my '09 and had it to the dealer three or four times and the answer was always we don't know, couldn't duplicate the problem, nothings showing up on the computer,..... blah blah blah.
Finally someone at the dealer was honest and said this is something they are working on and alot of the new trucks have the problem. Went to this wonderful site, unplugged my egr and all has been grand for 10,000 miles.
No stumble, at least 2.5 mpg increase, and once again a happy cummins owner. I was starting to regret giving my wife my '04 swb 6 speed. And yes i get a cel but i don't notice it anymore.
