I don't trust Dodge now
I was in for the P2262 last week and they did a de-soot and said if the code comes back, it's a new turbo. <200 miles the code came back while driving and when I stopped and checked, I had a P0128 and P2262. Went back to Dodge on Tuesday (5th time in two weeks), and was told by the tech that only a 0128 was showing. Humm, I didn't see the scan tool, but I did see the dash display and there was a 2262! Is it getting too expesnive for them? Or should I just take this with a grain of salt and wait for the next code? BTW, is the turbo a 100,000 mile warranty item?

If you really need a turbo, you can be sure the code will come back. Mine was off and on three or four times in the week it took for the turbo to show up at the dealership.

Why would the tech try to screw you on warranty work? They get paid for warranty work too, just not paid by you. Did you ask about the discrepancy between the codes the dash display had and the code the scanner had?

the tech just completed a turbo job and told me how much he hated doing them while I was getting my new EGR and that was before I picked-up the 2262 code...so yes, there is a question in my mind.

With age comes the cage
When doing warranty work all the dealer makes is labor as set by Dodge, they make nothing on the parts.

Here in Fla., 3 times in for the same problem, they'd be giving me a new truck under the lemon law. I gave back a couple Fords like that, they hooked them up to a machine so the people up at Ford could try to diagnose the problems because the techs couldn't, and they couldn't suggest a fix either . Three times is plenty of trys to fix their product in my book. I won't play around with these dealers anymore, Ford done fixed that.

I don't trust Do_g_ now!
I sure don't trust them NOT AT ALL. To date I have 40 visits to fix this engine that came GUTLESS from the factory. and NADA for help. If the diesel techs can't diagnoss a problem then I don't have one. Most work orders came back Unable to diagnos problem at this time. Or unable to confirm customers complaint! The truck is so gutless that I had a new Injector pump put in at cumins and new 275 injectors at a dog dealershop. I could barely get ahead of a chev 250 pulling a 5th wheel. I have heard all the excusses and cost me about $17,000 to try to fix the engine for it is toooo complicated for the re&re boys to understand. This cat engine that I have to haul the 410G backhoe around has more power in 18 gear going up a 7 % grade then mine does going down grade. GO FIGURE. So be very careful with do_g_ dollarshops even with lots of warranty to go they only try to get out of fixing or Identifying a problem. Good luck on your warranty parts keep at it and hopefully it will be fixed.

Sounds like you might be over boosting. You need a boost fooler.
PM me. I've had a troublesome '98.5 but it's doing 345rwhp with EGT's never going over 1275*, or 500 with the chip on, and 580 on nitrous. Get's 20+mpg on the highway too.
