Thumbs up I Am Back From The Dark Side!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say i am back and **** does it fill good. I bought a 07.5 Quad CAb SLT brilliant black CTD with 12,000 miles on it. It is a 6.7 6 speed auto 4x4. All i can say i was allways scared to get a 6.7 from all the problems i have read on here. But so far i love this truck. Going by the overhead it says i am getting 16.5 mpg around town and 20.5 mpg on the highway. Which i know is not 100 percent right. But comeing from a 05 GMC 6.6 that no matter what i did or how i drove it i could not get better than 15.6 MPG.I unpluged the egr valve tonight and so far so good. Thanks for letting me ramble on here. Mopar72

What made you decide to switch back? Did you have any problems with your Duramax? What did you like or dislike about it versus the Cummins?

Thanks dodgezilla.FlaCracker the gmc was a nice truck and all drove nice like a car etc. but no matter what i did to it i could not get more than 15.6 MPG driving around town or the interstate. But everyonce in a while i could get 17.5 but not often. Also for some reasion towing nomore than 6,000 pounds i could not get better than 11-12 mpg. But the main reasion is i had a red 05 ctd that i bought used with 26,000 miles that gave me nothing but problems. I was so ****** off and upset with it that i traded it off on the gmc .had it a year and had to do little things here and there to it.But mostly i have allways been a mopar guy.I really wanted to buy a 06 but seeing how i was upside down some with my gmc i could not get a good deal on one. So i found this 07.5 with 12,000 miles. I ended up paying them 26,000 for it. does this sound like a good deal or did i screw my self. boy trying to trade in a used truck is murder now days.thanks Mopar72

mopar72, We are all still pishhed at you for switching. This should become a pay site for backstabbers that want to be re born again.
Anyway,
congrats on the new 6.7. I bought one after driveing a new 6spd auto and loving it. First automatic I have ever purchased. I think you got a pretty good deal as It was hard to find a low miliage, well equipt, 07 for under 30 a month or two back. When I did find one it either smelled like horse crap inside or it was all scratched up and would have high miles. Does your new truck have any of the reflashes done?
