Maybe there has been for yours, but there has not been one for mine. I went by and checked with the tech I use and he said they have to plug in and any flashes are done through a number in the computer on your truck and any problem you might be having. If there is any update for a problem you might be having, they will do what needs to be done. I haven't had any problems and there is no "just because I want it or just because someone else got it flash" on my truck according to the tech I use. Mine is working just fine, so I'm not going to try to "fix" a problem that doesn't exist.

I wish a tech would chime in and let everyone know what the procedure is for doing a flash. What all has to be checked and how it is done.

like the other guys are saying, it will clog up your filter if you let it idle for a long period of time. i don't know how long it takes. i think there are too many variables. i do know that if it clogs your filter completely and you have to replace it, the dealer will look up the idle time and if its too high for them, they will viod your warenty. i haven't had any problems with mine yet. i have a lead foot and i've only seen the overhead say 80 once. i do know that it will clean its self alot faster if you dog on it. i drove mine at 90 mph itstead of 70 and i didn't take but a couple mins to clean out.

Here in Alberta there are a large number of 6.7's in use in the oilfield. They all idle a lot. For instance; the welders head out in the morning and let their truck idle all day as they are welding. They idle for 10-12 hours every day/7 days a week. Initially they had a lot of problems but the new flashes have it figured out and I have heard that there are no problems now.

I would love for Dodge to void my warranty for letting the truck idel. It will cost them a lot more in the long run, and they will still have to fix my truck!
