Exhaust back pressure (drive pressure)?

H&S released a new update for the mini maxx that now monitors exhaust back pressure (and a few other goodies), just for curiosity sake what is an acceptable level of back pressure for the factory turbo, head gaskets and related parts? going for a bit of a drive this afternoon to see what it tells me now just on a normal drive. thanks guys

the way Glacier Diesel has in their instructions for their pro-gate is to make wide open runs and record max boost. then install the gate and adjust pressure regulator to open at the max boost reading you had recorded. the Glacier pro-gate has an adjustable regulator which gets is pressure signal from the intake plate via a boost bolt.

hope that helps a little.

Under normal conditions the back pressure is as low as 2 psi and was as high as 15 psi just with the cruise set at the speed limit, usually the back pressure was 50-75% higher than the boost level which i expected give or take a wee bit. when I hit the EB it will typically be on the high side of 30 but spiked a time or two up tp 46 psi, its kinda cool to see just how hard its trying to slow you down
