EVIC regen message on MY07

Do any 07 owners get the regen message on the overhead? I have the flash that allows the engine to regen at 900rpm but i've never seen a message on the overhead. Is there actually a message?

When you say you have the regen that happens at 900 rpm. Do you mean at an idle? If yes, what flash do you have? I've never seen a regen message except through my Edge Insight.

You'll only get a message when you are steps away from being derated and a trip to the dealer.

My idle go up to 900rpm and regins at a idle but i've never seen a message on the overhead, I thought you were supposed to see a message after the new flash everytime the truck regened, do the newer trucks do this or Am I mistaken?

It does raise the idle to 900, but doesn't actually regen.. Its doing a Soot Reduction idle sequence for extended idle times that is supposed to reduce the idle soot produced with the EGR open. The truck has to be in Drive for Regens to take place at idle.

And you won't get the overhead message at all. I got the EVIC reflash and it didn't do a thing. The only way I was monitoring Regens was with EGT..

On my 07 I get a message that the Cat is 70% full and up to 100% then the Check Engine light comes on. I have to drive it at 55 mph for about 20 miles to clear it. I only have 2 miles to work and back. If I tow the 5th wheel, it's ok for a while.

There is a bit of disinformation out there with regards to the EVIC "regen in progress" and "regen complete" messages. The latest Chrysler flashes for 07, 08, and 09 trucks with the 6.7L Cummins all include this messaging feature. However, you do NOT get this message every time a regen occurs. The only time you will get this message is if you first get a message on your EVIC stating "Catalyst 70% full" or higher. This is an indication that you need to get the truck on the highway to perform an active regeneration. Once you meet the conditions for the truck to go into active regeneration, the "Catalyst xx% full" message will be replaced with the "regen in progress" message and it will remain displayed on the EVIC until the regeneration has finished. You will then get a message stating "regeneration complete" to let you know that you can resume your normal driving needs.

Under the conditions I described above, yes you should see the overhead messages.
