Talking End of May the bombing begins!!!

I just got off the phone with Edge and they had some good news. They will have a juice or something of the sort ready by the end of May . I offered my truck to be a tester, we'll see what happens.

WHY?????????????????? why in the world did I have to read this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL & all this time, "when I get this one I'm gonna leave it stock" oh well I thought the aftermarket guys were gonna make it easier for me for at least a little while!!! I figured if nobody makes a box/chip/downloader for the new truck then I'll have to leave it alone!!!!! well I guess that's out the window now!!!!!! can't wait to see what one of the new VG turbos can do with a little tweaking in the system!!!! let me know as soon as you here back from them on the beta testing!!!! You guys are nuts. Hope ya got deep pockets, cause these trucks are smarter than they have ever been, many things engineered so that it is easier for us to see who has been meesing around with their truck.

Why must they have deep pockets? You're predicting that something is going to break under warranty?

You sayin' that yer trucks can't take et?

Come on, honestly, you don't think somebody around here is gonna hop one of these things up right away and destroy something?

I am saying the trucks aren't warrantied to take it. If it is set at 305/610 in a cab & chassis that is what Dodge is going to warranty it for.

I don't know, I guess everybody is just that independently wealthy that they can afford to take that kind of chance of a truck that cost so much to buy and so much to repair if you tear it up. Personally, I can't, that is why are trucks get left alone, and I am happy that way.

mmm yes, its only money and you can't take it with you, so.....might want to enjoy it while your here!
I would not do anything to the company truck, might give some opportunists an idea to sue me, but if its my personal truck look out because I will bomb it. And if I break it I will stand up like a man take the punishment, then go get another.

I don't think that hopping one up is always a bad thing, every truck I've had has been bombed to an extent, have I went too far before & broken things??? of course, but my 01' was bombed to pull, & I mean out on the road everyday loaded, & it served it's purpose well, & in all honesty I think the extra power it had helped more than it hurt, I don't think these engines being underpowered to go out & run the speed limit with a load on is healthy for them, that's just my opinion, & alot of the broken things that go along with bombing a truck have to do with driving style, & lack of, or lack of paying attention to your instrumentation, I've had gauges in all my rigs & drove by them, I've had trucks that ran cooler with mods than if a certain box/tuner etc. were removed, & on top of that they were more fuel efficient, I understand what your saying from a dealers point of view, don't get me wrong I understand what you're talking about here, but, is it totally right for some non driving idiot to take a stock truck out & destroy parts because they didn't have sense enough to drive it & his/her warranty fix the truck, when I may have a faulty part that needs to be replaced & it's not covered because I have a chip on my truck, if I chip it & it melts down then yeah it's my problem, but there are other situations when warrantied parts are not covered when a dealer knows good & well that aftermarket accessories had nothing to do with the problem, I may or may not leave my 07' stock, it all depends on whether or not it gets me & the cargo up & down the road at what I see as a reasonable rate?? being underpowered can & sometimes is very dangerous on todays highways, ok I'm done ranting now, & for the record this is all my own personal opinion & I mean no one here any disrespect, hope none is taken!!! LOL

No disrespect taken. I guess I am old fashion, that is all. I feel like the 6.7 runs so good and pulls so good there is really no need to mess with it. I pulled my 48' trailer with one the other day, it was an automatic, and I had two new cab & chassis loaded on the trailer. They were both 4x4's, one was a quad cab, one a regular cab, and both had heavy stell skirted beds mounted on them so I was packing a few pounds, and I didn't have any trouble pulling them at all. I guess I am easily satisfied?

I have a friend who is awaiting a bed for his 07' & as soon as it's installed I'm gonna take it for a spin loaded down & see how it does, it's a reg. cab 6 spd. manual, so it's close to the same as what I'm getting, I'm still on the fence as to what I'll do, I have a set of autometer gauges (pyro/boost) that are going in it regardless of what the dealer says, I like keeping an eye on things for myself, do you foresee any problems with just the gauges???? I hope not, cuz they're going in it anyway!!!! LOL we'll see how it all pans out, Dusty
