Cheaper, but I don't know if it's better.

I bored some hubcaps out to accomodate the warn hubs for a guy who just put EMS on his rig. I've got dyntracs on mine. Discussing the install mine was straight forward he had some issues with his and thought the extra money for dyntracs would have been worth it.

I want to order Dynatracs this spring. Did you notice any difference in driving or MPG?

I put the Dynatrac hubs on the 07 within the first 500 miles. I have not checked the mileage with and without them engaged. With the hubs disengaged it feels as if there is a little less drag / the front of the truck feels a bit lighter. The difference is not as significant as installing the Warn hubs on an old mid 50s Jeep we had. The Jeep used to shake & shimmy above 45mph, but with the Warn hubs disengaged it was noticeably smoother.

A heads up - Since I have a DRW I had to buy Arrowcraft dually adaptors to use in place of the stock ones. The stock adapter centers are not large enough to accommodate the Warn hubs (and there is not enough material to make the centers larger). Also the Arrowcraft adapters use a larger wheel stud so the rims need to be reamed out (with a supplied reamer) and lug nuts are one size larger, which means the hub caps don't fit! Has anyone dealt with this?

In spite of having to use the Arrowcraft adaptor (and all that brought with it) I really like the Dynatrac hubs and would install them again.

George

I have the Dynatrac hubs and axles and like them a lot. I got the kit because I did not like the mickey mouse vacuum system and two piece axle that is stock. I got into big trouble with good damage a few times because the 4wd light went on but the axles did not engage. I am old school where I like to manually put in the hubs and I KNOW that I am set to go. I have had them for a few years now with no hassles at all. It is a expensive mod, but for me, it was worth it.
This is what happens when you are in 2wd, thinking you are in 4wd, going through sand, and wheel hop starts. It happens pretty fast. Fans and radiators do not make a good fit.

I e-mailed Dynatrac about the availability of the short stub axle shaft they've got out for the '03-'04.5. No answer. I'd consider one for my '07 if available. just can't handle the long shaft sticking out.

I'd like to see what kind of mpg gains you could get.

Lots of threads about hub kits and mpg gains with them in 3rd gen accesorries section not to be a smart alleck but you 6.7 guys should check some of the other 3rd gen sections out other than the engine you have the exact same truck as us.

I made my own part time hub kit, it may work for your trucks also. I posted it here on DTR, just do a search for( DIY part time hubs ) I like mine. I'm getting 4mpg improvement over stock.
