dpf in place.....soot on tip

dpf in place.....soot on tip
I still have my dpf in place. Is it normal to have soot on the tip of the tailpipe even though I still have the dpf??? Looking up inside the tailpipe with a flashlight, it's covered in soot.

Mine was squeaky clean before I did the deletes....

Sounds like you may have burned a hole in the DPF....... I would take it to the dealer...

Mine has been black inside since right after my truck was new. My truck also will roll black smoke out every once in a while though.

Mine is also sooted on the inside of the pipe and lightly on the bumper. No codes and AY flash. MPG 15-18. I guess I'll leave it for now...

My F-N-L's tailpipe actually has a thin ring of rust around the end of it. He doesn't drive it but maybe once or twice a week. Mine's clean though.
