I was wondering if there have been any improvements on the newer turbos, particular those which improve the function and help prevent setting the P2262 trouble code I've been plagued with. Other than this and another code relating to the O2 sensor, the truck runs great. Thanks in advance for your replies.

 

Not sure about the 2008 being different, but I got a new turbo because of code P2262 back in September. Has your turbo been replaced?

The 02 sensor code may be related to the G30 recall. Did you get that done?

 

Part numbers are different 07-08.Supposedly the issue w/ 2262 is carbon build up & software on 07's,but the numbers are diff.

 

Thanks for the replies. No, my turbo hasn't been replaced. I discussed this with the dealer and both he and I agreed that doing so would only be a band-aid approach. A new turbo design or some other kind of fix is necessary by the manufacturer or the problem will only reappear somewhere down the line. I've been waiting to have this done when and if a new turbo design is in the offing, thus the question about if the new turbos were different.

I had the G30 flash done about a month ago but haven't noticed much of a difference. The dealer didn't afix the proper sticker in the engine compartment as he was supposed to but the paperwork indicates the reflash was accomplished. I often wonder if they REALLY performed the reflash. I may have another dealer check for me.
