08 3500 - fuel tank vents

On my old 04.5 I put the fuel line on the vents on top of the tank to a "T" etc so crud couldn't get in. Do you have to do the same thing on an 08

I haven't checked but I think Dodge remedied that issue. You also don't need the tank vent mod anymore. Once the nozzle clicks I can only get about 1 more gallon in my truck. In my old 03 I could get another 5 gallons if I could stand there long enough...

I've managed to get another 2.5 to 3 gallons in my '08 after it clicks the first time. I've been thinking about a vent mod but haven't gotten around to it.

Does the 05's have to have the vent fixed so water and dirt dont go in the tank?

Yes, you should probably check and see if your vent needs to be modified to keep crud out of the tank....

Yeap, all the way to 06'. Then Dodge did a recall on the 06' model and only installed a piece of hose with no filter....Go figure...
