Wow! My truck petered out BAD!
So, I was calmly driving home Tuesday night, A/C on, just driving down the highway. I noticed my truck was intermittently developing a sort of vibration. Once, every mile or so, it felt like I was running over potholes the size of VW's. Funny thing is, they just repaved this stretch of highway about a week ago. As I turn into the driveway the truck comes down to idle as I push in the clutch, and stumbles a little... Weird I thought, but oh well, there's no codes at this moment.
The next morning, on the way to work the vibration has turned into a full-on engine miss. I get to work, I've got a P0205, and P0206 code. I download the BDDL back to stock, still missing. The truck sits for a few hours and starts up fine. Within 5 miles it is missing so bad it's going into limp mode.... At this time I remove the TST and EZ. Now my truck is not only missing, but it's a total dog, to the point that it's dangerous to drive. I check the codes again, P0201, P0202, P0205, P0206, P0299. Now since the truck is completely back to stock, I take it to the dealer in limp mode.... Any ideas? Maybe the CP3 bit the dust???
FYI the carter lift pump is running fine,
The turbo is fine as well.

Well, I just spoke with the dealer and they told me that the #2 injector was bad, and that the harness to it, (inside the engine) had come loose and had been arcing to the head. This also ruined that particular harness and caused the other injectors to misfire as well. Does this sound feasible? I hope that it fixes it anyway...

I went to the dealer and looked at it, sure enough that's exactly what happened. The nut is made onto the wire and they had stripped the stud on the injector from the factory and it finally worked it's way loose. The wire and nut had arced out enough to ruin it, and I'm getting a new injector due to the stripped stud. No big deal I guess. That's what they make warranties for...

They think my truck is awesome, and I guarantee that they would warranty just about anything on it. They take really good care of it, and pull it inside the shop every night, just to ensure that nobody messes with it.

Yeah, it's fixed... The mechanic went to check tightness on the rest of the injectors and snapped another one off, so it took a couple of extra days, but that's okay... I've got something else to drive, and they devoted a bay to the truck and it stayed in the shop the entire time. Now the valve cover is leaking though, so it's going back

Sounds like mine!! Took it in to get the injectors tested per STAR and they cracked 2 injector lines taking them on and off. 5 days to fix them and I get it back, get home and fuel starts dripping in my driveway!! Back to the dealer and they tell me another line is cracked, 5 more days!! I say BS, take one off a new truck!! and they actually did!! An hour later I'm back on the road

***!!! I took it back to the dealer to get the oil leak at the Valve cover fixed, and they wiped it off, took it for a drive, and now it's got another bad injector/miss issue... I dropped the truck off at noon, they drive it at 4:30 and since it's screwed up, park it and go home. I talk to the Service manager, and he says the Cummins guy is off tomorrow so it's gonna be sitting until Tuesday, when he's back. Why couldn't they look at it at 4:30 and at least order parts? Now I'm gonna be out a truck for another week because the parts won't get ordered until Tuesday! BTW... Why do I keep having injector problems? I can understand the wire issue that was the previous problem, but NOW WHAT???!!!
