I'm just following you AH64ID as you gave me all the ideas. This is in addition to a Baldwin PF7977 in the OEM filter bowl and a Fleetguard FS1218 into Baldwin BF584 next to the T-case. In this case more is definitely better. You think Chrysler will ever give me crap about lack of filtration?

I figured it is harder to drain a 5/8 hose than the factory 3/8. I would have gone with -12 AN (3/4") but I could not find a M12 X 1.5 to -12 AN adaptor for the CP3 and filter bowl. Anyone know where I can get one?
Nice setup!. Good Job!
I think it's a little much. Unless your driving 600 miles a day 7 days a week as in the commercial over the road trucks.
For your everyday normal use truck like most of us have, as long as you have a good fuel/water separator filter and a good secondary 2 micron fuel filter that will cover the fuel system.

Or would just rather not have to worry about it. For quite awhile.

Fuel contamination is an ever-present danger, especially for those over-the-road guys (many driving Dodge pickups, hotshotters, etc, BTW) who may be filling up from unknown sources at inopportune times and places. The stock filter and a 2um secondary could be rendered totally inop in a matter of minutes after a bad fillup, requiring a wrench-tuning episode deep into the engine bay in the middle of the night in the rain. Worst case scenario, maybe. The stock filter is tiny. I don't care what micron rating it is, it ain't holding much before it craps out. I'd rather not worry about it.

Our 07's fuel flow presently goes like this:

In-tank pump --> Backup pump --> FS1214 12um seperator on the frame rail (spin-on easy change) --> stock cannister --> 2um --> CP3.

There's a good possibility a quick change of the FS1214 will get me back on the road for awhile after that worst case scenario within a five minute change of the FS1214. And under normal conditions, the stock and 2um filters don't need changing very often - determined by fuel pressure at the CP3 inlet "after" changing the FS1214 primary.

Maybe it was in this thread and I missed it, but what about the AFE Pro Gaurd D2 and the Luber-Finer filters? Any knowledge on these?

The AFE is not a f/w separator so I would not use it as an OEM replacement. If you have another filter that strips 95% of all water then you could use it.

I don't know much about the Luber-Finer.

I mistyped that post, and can't seem to edit it, the correct info is 8um absolute.. which still doesn't meet OE Spec.
