XLR8R--Take all polls you want, untill you traveled in the tracks of the guys that have posted here you probably have no idea the capabilites a 4X4 (diesel or gasser has is the real nasty stuff) or else you would know better than to make those comments. As they say some talk the talk others walk the walk.

I've blazed plenty of those tracks you speak of and only talk about where I've walked.
The AAM works as designed, as does the Dana 80 - I use both on & off road, and have never been stuck in 250K miles...
I don't mind your flame job, but at least get the facts straight if you talk smack! At least then I could respect your position..

I left my truck in the pasture yesterday, and it rained, rained, rained. Went to get it this morning, and it wouldn't go. Forward, backwards, no rocking - just digging deeper.
The shame of it all, a neighbor's 4WD pulled me out, and it was a Chevy.
He made the smart-a** comment, "Just like a Dodge."
Then I watched him take off after he disabled 4WD, and his whole truck shuddered and made a huge CLUNK. Un-huh, just like a Chevy.
The moral of this story, and it is the same as my last diesel, a '79 GMC, is that a 2WD can get happily stuck in wet grass, much less red mud.
I previously thought that the function of a 4wd was to get you further into the muck before sticking stuck, but now I honestly don't know.
I ain't going back into that pasture until it dries out a bit.
