i want to swiss cheese my airbox

has any dealers give anyone a hard time over this

 

When I put a small 4" hole in my air box along with a long dryer hose to grab air from behind the front bumper, I asked the dealer that I bought my truck from about doing this. According to them, it did not harm the warranty. Now if I would have removed the stock air box and installed an after market air box/filter set-up, the dodge dealer here would not have black balled the warranty, it would have been Cummins would have had a word too say about it. And that would have been only concerning the warranty on the engine, nothing about the truck itself.

But not all dealers are open minded about these kind's of things.

i thought about buying the bottom air box as a spare just i case i have to take it in just to be on the safe side

can these be purchased from the dealer at a reasonable price

any one know
