My truck does this to. Initially only when I changed to the Quad race 2 box they said it was taking to much power from one of the sensors they steal power from went back to the original Quad race and it stopped until recently does it pretty much all the time now.

I doubt it's a power issue, but it would be easy to prove by just turning my Outlook off.

That video is wild! It sounds just like a loping governor on a mechanical engine.

Does not sound damaging or anything.

No smoke or raw fuel smell in the exhaust?

By the sound of it I think it is programing as it sounds very clean when it is hitting and is not like it is just one cylinder missing.

Has anyone seen this effect with a Smarty on it?

What happens as the throttle is increased?

What happens it it is put in gear without touching the throttle?

mine does it only when its in the 20's and i dont have a programmer.

Mine only does it when it's below 40. As soon as the high idle kicks in, it goes away, or if you put it in gear and start rolling too. I noticed it's better when the Outlook is set to stock rather then Crazy Larry. So I do believe it could be program related.

As a side note, I changed the fuel filter finally and it was NASTY nasty at my regular interval. What's everyone else use as an interval? So perhaps I've been having some lousy fuels these days.

Book says 15k for fuel filter, but I think a lot of us run 10k.

The truck in the video seems like it is running on 3 cylinders, which some are programmed to do in really cold temps.

On my truck the lope is not that aggressive, now I replaced the FCA and I put back the edge and do problem any more

It's back on mine. Wasn't the fuel filter. I only have a couple thousand on it since the last filter change. So that's not it.

My 06 lopes a little bit not as much as the one in the video. It does smooth out when warm.

I have an 05 stock just cold air and exhaust lopes like the one in the video only on high idle on a cold morning but it gets to bouncing side to side pretty bad it only does it on high idle when its cold I thought it might be my tc. It always does it on high idle and some times I get a little shake at idle

So I've done a little reading on this word around the camp fire is low rail pressure will cause the idle to lope. I have noticed my truck dosent seem to run as good as it used dosent smoke hardly at all I don't have a way to measure fuel pressure. Anybody with gauges notice a drop in fuel pressure?
