just curious everytime i start my truck up a little white smoke comes out is this normal??? i have an 06 cummins 2500 5.9l?????????

 

where are you? whats the temp? how much white smoke?

I bleive there is a flash for white smoke on startup. maybe call the dodge dealer and ask about it. if you step on the gas while driving, do you see white smoke at all?

 

In Maryland only on start up..when i stomp on it only black smoke comes out ...

 

I would say check on that flash for white smoke. if everything else works as its supposed to, that might be all you need to worry about.

this has been talked about a lot, and here are some possibilities- 1. completely normal, when truck is cold 2. might want to look into white smoke/cold start tsb/re-flash 3. injector issue, might try running a good fuel additive and see if anything changes, or if still under warranty, have dealer check injectors- there are people who have experienced similar symptoms, who found that their injectors were leaking down.
