Question white smoke on cold mornings

Hi this is my first diesel truck and I'm wondering is it normal for the truck to have white smoke on start-up durring cold mornings and especially -15 to -20 celcius. I have 07 5.9 with 8000Km on it.

A little is normal as long as it goes away after you get it warmed up.

To be safe I'm dropping the truck off tomorrow night at the dealer just to make sure everything is working good.

she smokes pretty good if you don't let it warm up properly and especially in
-20 weather.

Are you talking about seeing a light white smoke that you see coming out of a cars exhaust/tail pipe? If so mine will do this at around -15 below zero or colder (but not at warmer temps) and that is normal. BTW in my truck it has taken 20 minuets or more for it to go away at -24 below zero.
