Sorry, but for 04, if you didn't order the engine heater option, it comes with the heater but not the power cord.

If you didn't order the truck with the heater, the heater comes with a plastic cap over it and is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the oil filter...

If you did order it, the cord should be clipped to the body on the passenger side of the radiator.

The power cord is cheaper from Cummins...

If your looking at your rig, with the hood open, it will be on the left hand side of the radiator near the top of the bumper...that is if you paid for the actual cord! Yes, I believe starting in 2003 the block heater cord was a $25 option. It was standard on 2nd gens. My 2000 had it. I had to make sure my 03 had it before I took delivery. If you don't have the cord don't worry. The engine is already equipped with a block heater, just not always the cord. If you go on e-bay, or go to the dealer (cost more) you can purchase one and install it yourself. I heard it wasn't difficult but hopefully someone here who did it will chime in. Good luck.

Mine came with the truck, neatly attached in a c clip on the passenger side just right above the bumper. I also have a 2004.5 if that helps any.
