I'm just curious as there seems to be a lot of failures on the 06 trucks.
Maybe there are just more 06 trucks. My son hot shots and has bought at least 6 2005 3500s, worked very hard, with just one blown intercoler.

06 2500 quad CTD's are all built in Missouri
06 3500's and 2500 std cabs are Mexico.
The parts used in both plants are from the same supplier, and essentially go on the same way, so its very difficult to justify that a particular truck made in a certain plant would have more problems.

Toyotas built in Japan consistently have better quality than Toyota plants in the U.S.
Also when I was with FoMoCo, I remember there being some reports of differences between the Chicago and Atlanta plants which were both building the Taurus/Sable at the time.
Yes they all get shipped the same parts, but they are "assembly" plants and it's the method of assembly that affects things. It just takes a guy's air wrench to be adjusted wrong and it can throw things off.

When I was shopping for my '06 2500 quad CTD, there were a few that were made in Saltillo, Mexico.
I printed off all of the window stickers from the trucks that I was interested in and about a third of them were made south of the border.
The one I bought was made in Fenton, Missouri.

I just went back on-line with Dodge to verify and it is closer to about 1/2 of the 2500 QC CTD's that I looked at were made in Saltillo, Mexico.
You sure about all of them being made in Fenton, Missouri?

I remember Tommygunn saying they'd be making CTD's in Missouri again during one of his updates. I think this was going to start for the 06 models and not the 05's because they stopped making the 05's early, around April IIRC.
MY 05 is Mexican.

Both 04.5's I used to have, as well as both of my current 06's, were made in Mexico. All are quadcabs-the 04.5's were both 4wd, one a dually and the other a 2500. One of the 06's is a 3500 SRW 4wd, the other is a 6 spd 2wd 2500.
