whats the best tranny fluid to use ?

The transfer case will have drain and fill plugs on the back side of the casing. I believe you will need a 10mm torx socket bit to remove and replace the plugs.

Torx - No
Just a 10 mm Hex.
I agree with the drain the pan only.... @ 20,000 miles. Good Preventative MX, IMO.
And probably more important on a factory tranny than on an aftermarket.

With the power/TQ of the Cummins, I'm a firm believer in top quality for drivetrain fluids. JMO.

I just went to Autozone and the filter they had said to change it every 10k. I opted to not get it and am going to buy a few fule oil and tranny filters from Geno's.
I also did not realize that the Autozone rewards does not give you a point per 20 dollars spent, but a point for your purchase over 20 dollars. So I am going to return the ATF I just got and buy it in two seperate orders.
Whats the Micron for This filter?
Doesn't look like Geno sells a tranny filter of an auto 06

While were on the subject of filters, I also suggest you look into buying some Baldwin PF7977 fuel filters instead of either of the Mopar(10 micron) or Fleetguard(7 micron) offered products. That Baldwin filter is the best filter you can get for the OEM fuel filter housing because it filters at 5 Microns Absolute and the common rail's need as clean of fuel as possible.

No reduction in flow/rail pressure for you guys?
Wish they had a 5 micron screw on for the FASS. Best I could find was a 3 micron/10 micron for my 02.

I must have just been blind for a few mins lol... I didn't see that in there. Thanks.
As far as the Baldwin, I will probly stick with the Fleet simply becasue I can buy them all in the same place. I have been running Autozone filters prior to this so either way the fleet is an upgrade.
