Question What year?

Bought what I thought was a 2004 2500 HO. This is where I am confused, In looking at performance upgrades (parts etc) they ask is it the 600 or 610 model. Does anyone know how to tell if this is a 2004 vs. 2004.5? or 600 vs. 610. Does it say somewhere ? The motor label says it has 325hp but no mention of model 600 or 610. The window sticker did not specify, The build sheet doesn't specify if it is a half year model. I know this sounds like a really dumb question, but no one has answered it for me yet. Thanks, Lost in WI.

If it has a catalytic converter, it's a 2004.5!

look at the date of manufacture inside the drivers door, if it was built after 1-01-04 it's what they call an 04.5 600 they weren't 610 until 2005 model year

Since the engine sticker says 325 HP and it's registered as a 2004 then you have the 600 engine and it's a 2004.5.

2004.5 trucks are registered as 2004s. The gub'ment doesn't differentiate between mid-year changes.

Early 2004 trucks that have an engine sticker that says 305 HP have 555 lb/ft of torque.

The parts guy sounds like he's confused. Like already stated, the 610 didn't come out until 2005.

My window sticker DID have the torque rating shown on the window sticker.

It's possible they just started doing that after the '610' came out.
