What would cause multiple throwout bearing failures?

Along the lines of keeping your foot to the floor on the clutch at red lights...not only is it not good for the release bearing/throwout bearing...but also consider this is putting a lateral force on the end off the crankshaft. That forward lateral force on the crankshaft is also putting extra wear on the thrust bearing of the crankshaft.
It is always good practice when at a red light or stopped for a predictable time to put the vehicle in neutral and let the clutch out until it is closer to time you need to move. This saves wear and tear on clutch and ENGINE components....

you dont want to get too carried away with a clutch. i bought an OFE(rated for 450) cause of where i was with mods. installed the clutch and dyno'd over 500. oops. but the clutch is just fine. call peter at SBC and talk with him, he will steer you straight without trying to make more $
