Nope. My Laramie has a manual shift.

Ya, that does seem dumb. Mine has just the t-case shifter on the hump closer to my side. I always have the cup holder folded down, but all I have to do is fold it back up. I've had six guys in the truck; it's a little squished, but someone can actually sit there.

My 2004 has the manual lever. I prefer the direct mechanical control for reliability. I have seen a few stuck trucks on the beach that had their electronic 4x4 selector fail.

I never had anything but the manual stick until this truck and over the last couple of months with the snow we have had I have had to put it in 4x4 at least 20 times now and I have to go against the flow here and say I wouldn't want to go back to the manual?
It shifts effortlessly and quick and I dont have the stick in the way.
I guess if it fails then I will think differently but until then its electronic shifting all the way

That's what I was informed from a dealer. However, I think this only applyies to 3rd gens. My brother's 2nd gen Laramie had a manual shifter for 4x4.

Anyways, I wish I had the electronic one. I really REALLY wish I had the full center console instead of a jump seat. I have the same issue. My truck has the electric transfer shift, but it's a 6speed. So my center seat is good for...someone under 3 feet tall?

Nope, I'd be the second laramie with a manual shifter. Maybe it was by special request?

I love my manual tranny and manual transfer case lever. If free-spin hubs would have been an option I would have ordered them. I do, however, love my power seats which could not be ordered on an '07 ST,thus they shoved the power locks and windows down my throat and I had to go with the SLT. It's all good though. Buy what you like.

I almost didn't buy mine because it was electronic. The salesman lied so I'd buy this truck!

But I really like it. No issues.

Well, thanks! Must say though, I can't take complete credit. I only paid for the truck, it came that way! I ordered some new dodge floor mats for it though, and am hoping to shampoo it again this weekend front and back with a good dose of leather treatment. I really wanna keep it this way!! Makes me smile every time I hop into the truck.

I have the manual transfer case, manual 6 speed, manual windows, manual seats, manual windows, and manual hubs and I love it! Isn't that what a truck should have?

Manual hubs? Not factory, right?

That depends. Some people like loaded trucks and use them family vehicles...like me.

Nope, I installed an EMS manual lockout kit. The best upgrade I've done yet to my truck.
