What does the trans TV cable ACTUALLY do inside the trans?
I've been playing with my TV cable/lever arm trying to get the shifts/timing I like, but what is actually going on inside the trans controlled by this circuit?
Am I going to hurt anything internally?
If anything, making this arm ramp up faster seems to be increasing the internal pressures in a good way... no?
Thank you!

It ramps the the throttle valve pressure higher and faster so it takes more gov pressure to overcome it. This delays the shift and allows the line pressure to be higher at the shift point also.
In other words, its a good thing.

Kinda what I thought..
I modded my TV arm on the trans with an adjustable stop, kinda like an idle stop, so I could set the stift delay more precise. Once I found the spot I liked I extended the arm so I get almost instant movement(from this new spot), but to not get too much travel where the arm stops the throttle..
Let me tell you, the truck drives GOOOOOD!!!
