Weird whistle on 05...any ideas?
it has 58,000 miles on it, 4wd slt,
I have a whistle that kinda sounds like an air leak like around a door...but....
i hear it towards the front of the truck, under the dash/engine compartment.
it is only noticiable from about 45mph on up
if i tap on the brakes at those speeds, it stops,
but restarts when i give it throttle
i have not done any recent work on the truck, so it isn't something i induced
i had the wheels rotated and balenced and that made no difference
i checked door seals, and i know its not them cause the sound isnt coming from there and i can make it stop when i tap the brakes
please help...thanks

I would guess you have one of the intakes rubber boots or after-cooler leaking from boost pressure. Otherwise, it could be a bad U-joint or center bearing. I had my 2005 center bearing go out about every 30,000 or so miles.
Look in your engine bay for cracked rubber hoses leading to and from the turbo and after-cooler. Check the hose clamps for looseness too. If nothing there, then crawl under truck and inspect drive line for slack or looseness around u-joints and center bearing. I willing to bet its the center bearing if it is not a boost leak...
