I had an almost screeching noise coming from my clutch when I would let it out starting off before.....

Anyway my truck went into the shop yesterday so they could pull the clutch to see what was wrong. It turns out that one of the ceramic buttons was thinner than all the rest. So the clutch plate was actually flexing because of the gap. That cause the noise and the clutch to chatter and bounce off the center plate.



I'd really like to thank Harry at Peak Diesel... and Peter at South Bend for replacing the clutch free of charge.
Always nice to see the makers and vendors stand behind their products and solve any problems that come up!!

 

Think it would of been a lot less work If the Quality control would have caught it.

 

I bought my OFE from Harry, a good guy for sure and we've all hearb about the great service a person gets from Peter.
