Vortex Valve
I thought that I would let you all in a little something to help with todays fuel costs.
I have one of these in my truck and have been running it for about a month now. THIS THING WORKS!!!!! See for yourselves. www.vortexvalve.com
My hand cal. milage went up 1.9 in the city, 4.6 hiway. loaded it went up 2.5.
I wouldnt had believed it myself but i have been tracking it for a month all hand cal. It really does work, it does all that it says it does.
I have no connection with these people other than a very happy customer.
Worth every dime. Mine paid for itself the first week i ran it.
Have a good day

Sorry,,, I don't buy into these things either.. I just can't wrap my brain around how something that spins air can work on our CTDs.. Just think, there's close to 10' of plumbing between where that vortex valve would be put in and the cylinder. Don't forget, there's also a turbo and an aftercooler in line.. Don't think the vortex would last very long, can't see how it could help.. Sorry

Popular Mechanics did a test on all those fuel mileage enhancers- vortex, fuel magnetics, a bunch of other ones. They found in all tests that mileage /power was not increased, but in most cases, decreased.

Hardy, It goes in the Intake manifold , so its right at the cylinder.
I was very much agianst this also when i first looked at it, and i thought about it for a while, then did some testing with a computer program, and found that it will make the air flow faster with better fill of each cylinder.
I have had this for a month, i run OTR with my truck so i keep very good records. I have hand cal everthing plus put all the info into my computer fot tax reasons and other, it comes up with the same number i did on scratch paper. It works for me. I will enjoy the fuel savings!

It seems to me that even if it spun up the air like it says, the heater element in the elbow is going to straighten it out. I cant see how this thing would benefit us, but hey if it works for you thats all that matters.

I have found that they work good in gasers, especially right before the intake (mostly on boats). however with a diesel running on average 10psi of boost, and up to 35 psi stock, your not gonna put much more air in if your spinning it. They can work, all depends on driving habit, style, truck this and that.

Maybe they've been crusing by your house and adding a gallon of fuel every other day or so.....that worked really well on a salesman at the last place I worked that was complaining about gas mileage on his Dakota.......and no, he didn't think it was funny when we quit adding gas!
