i'm glad our trucks will do that... but i'll string out 150 foot of cord before i would. i'll even run my welder for 2 hours and plug in to warm it up but hey thats just what i do to protect a $55k truck!

I don't understand. Is he trying to show how it will start in -24 cause they will start in a lot colder than that, or is he trying to show how crappy his truck sounds? I have started mine not plugged in in -35 here in Montana several times and it sounds way better than that. Not a very good sounden truck at all. As long as the truck will crank, they will start in -60 below. Prudhoe bay Alaska; winter time. Our Cummins would start in almost any temp.
If you keep your batteries and starter up to par, you should not have any problems firing your truck off. Just remember, most Diesel only require 200 RPMs to fire off. Quality, lube helps a lot too.
And yes, What a aw-some Truck due to a fine Motor!
