vibration 45mph and up

Hey guys in the interest of making this short i will just get to the point. 2 weeks ago i was getting an intermittent screach leaving stop signs. First thought was brakes. Checked everything, powerwashed everything, still there. Then one day i put the truck in Nuetral and srceaching stop. So it is only with powere applied that it makes that noise. Then yesterday i started to get a vibration above 45 with power on. Let off go pedal and vibration goes away. Please don't say wheel bearings....... 54,000 miles
thanks for any thoughts.

U joints are another thing that i am going to look at thursday. Do you think that would explain the vibration going away when not under power?

I'd say it's a u-joint in the rear driveshaft. I just recently replaced the pinion side u-joint. Although, I didn't have the vibration at speeds like you're having, I had a terrible squeaking sound when under load at low speeds. With that said, I've also had u-joints go bad in my Jeep that had vibration symptoms like you're referring to.

Just be prepared for a PITA job if you have to replace the U-joints. They take a TON of persuasion to get out. Good luck!
