I have 2005 auto,4x4 stock, 114,000 miles,I just bought it,E-bay, never again, at 65 mph, theres a vibration, seems it could be coming from the trans, u joints seem good, new tires did not help, could it be the frt. drive shaft? thanks pete

My guess... U-joints. My truck had a bad one at 40,000 miles but you could have fooled me. I checked them good but the dealer replaced them under warranty. Who am I to argue?

Mine has done that since new. I now have 48,000 miles. I have had the dealer check it out a few times and of course they say they found nothing. Alot of post on here about the front drive shaft causing vibrations. You might try a search, and you will probably find tons of reading about vibrations.

Have the dealer look at the drive shaft u joints...I had two bad in my drive line and it would cause a horrid vibration at 68-72mph. Also take the tires in and make sure you don't have a bad tire...what tires are you running on the truck?

The dealer pulled the drive shafts out of my truck and supposebly checked the u-joints. I am running BG Goodrich All Terrains on my truck now, but it also did it with the stock tires that my truck had on it.

Does the truck have a lift or larger than stock tires?

No it has stock size tires. I can not remember the exact size. I think it is 265 75 17.
