Vent hose at top passenger side of tranny
I was leaving work today, and noticed a hose dangling under the truck. Its definitley a vent hose, and the vent is mounted to the top passenger side of the bellhousing on the tranny. I assumed it was the front diff vent, but after crawling under the truck tonight the diff vent is intact.
I recently had the tranny worked on, and it looks like the mechanic didnt move the clamp back down, as the clamp is about 4 inches from the end of the hose.
Anybody know where it goes? I'd rather stick it back on then spend a hour at the dealer letting them fix their own stuff.

Not 100% sure on your 06, but on a 2nd gen truck, it sounds just like the transfer case vent hose. It goes all the way over the transmission to the bell housing on the passenger side.
