Vapor coming out of transmission fill tube

Wow it's been a while since I've posted, but I just installed a Superior Transmission shift kit for the 48RE and replaced the Solenoid and pressure transducer because it was shutter-shifting and I wasn't happy with how it was shifting.
It runs great now, but after a few miles I noticed a little bit of vapor coming out of the transmission fill-tube when checking the fluid level. I searched but didn't find anything on this.

please help if you can.

not sure on the vapor but I have seen units that where slipping get so hot that the clutch's where burning and had smoke rolling out of the tube.
hope that's not what you have

on a side note how do you like the way the Superior kit works I was wondering as I have never used that brand.

I've never seen vapor coming out of a Trans Dipstick tube from any vehicle I've owned.

Big problem now!

Sorry it took a while to respond. I guess the vapor was a bad thing.... The next day the transmission forward clutches burned out completely. It's been in the shop for the past several weeks. They've rebuilt the trans, that didn't work... Replaced the Valve Body, and still can't figure out the problem.
currently it runs normal until the trans gets up to about 150 degrees then it won't downshift below 3rd gear unless it is manually shifted.
there is no CEL, but pulling codes, there is a readout about "adjustable petal circuit low voltage".. no code number according to the trans shop, just the readout.
These guys are good at transmissions, but (self-admitted) not good at computers. Could this be the APPS causing trouble?

I can't comment on the Superior kit. it ran pretty good for a while then after the burnt clutches, they suspected the shift kit as the problem. They purchased another one and triple checked my work and didn't find any issues with the VB. They then purchased another entire complete valve body and the issue still exists. We are all pretty frustrated. Next stop would be the dealer, but the bank account is pretty dry at the moment...

forgot to mention, when installing the original shift-kit, I also installed an AFE deep oil pan. One of the things we noticed was that the filter extension didn't marry up well with the filter. The bolts were off to the side and there was a gap between the filter gasket and the extension. I had to do some tweaking to get it to seal. It's a point I've expressed to the trans shop and they've keep close eye on it, but tomorrow they will be removing the aftermarket pan and extension just in case the issue is that the pump isn't pulling fluid because the extension isn't a tight fit against the filter...
