This whole tread was very interesting. The question I have is where can you buy dino oil which is CI4. All the parts stores only carry the CJ4 in shell, delo, valvoline premium blue, castrol ect. Seems like the only CI4 available is amsoil 15/40 diesel marine and thats syn and expensive. I would like to continue to use the delo 400 CI4 where do you get it?

If you have a dealer in your area, CAT carries DEO 15w-40 in the CI-4+ service classification. I have attached the technical data sheet for your review.

Administrator ........ DTR's puttin fires out and workin on big trucks admin
You can get Valvoline premium blue classic (CI 4+) at almost any Napa dealer. Some dealers will have it in gallon containers while others will only have it in 5 gal containers.

Throwing (CI) aside, does anyone know how the new (CJ) PB, Delo, Delvac, etc. stack up against each other? If were going to use the new stuff I'd like to know which one is the better of them.
TIA,
Eric

As long as I can still buy CI-4+ from Amsoil I'm not going to worry. I will not use CJ-4 oil until I'm either penniless or no one makes it any longer.
