Checked for codes with my autozone hand-held: U-1421

I have the reader definition, but I don't comprende...

A few searches say things like "only a dealer code scanner can determine ultimate issue".... or other indicates it could be something with the key and the computer not recognizing the key... (key works fine...maybe need to change the battery in the fob?going low?)

New truck batteries...very clean terminals/connections.

Any hints? Getting ready for a long road trip and prefer to avoid tow trucks...
