every 12v i have heard is quieter than a 24v..

i dont see any mileage difference from using two stroke oil....and i dont really see how it would make a measurable difference in mileage. I wonder if alot of folks adding 1/2 a quart to a quart are accounting for this when figuring mileage

i add 1/2 a quart every tank...if i went 500 miles on 27 gallons that would be 18.51 mpg...if i added 32oz (1 qt) of oil...without accounting for it in my mileage figure it would be 18.7 mpg and 26.75 gallons added

I do not add that much, I put 10oz for 34 gallons and 8oz for 30 gallons of fuel, the 2 tanks I ran so far. I would think with this small of an amount it would not affect the fuel numbers that much. I could be wrong... However I did see an increase in the mpg when I used the 2 stroke. With the fact I am using so little I don't see how it would scue my numbers that much.

How about two stroke oil? anyone know? i tried a google search and could not find anything.
I saw another post that claimed 2-stroke & diesel burn at about the same temp - higher than the solvent-based additives - so there wasn't a loss of energy.

In the olden days people used to put atf in the fuel tanks. Has anybody tried that on a new motor?

Yea, I'd stay away from MMO. Doesn't add any lubrication, in fact, take some lubrication away...

I have used new motor oil, I only did it once. I figured why use new motor oil when I can get used motor oil for free and just filter it. I run usually around 5gallons of used oil and the rest diesel in a 34 gallon tank. I get increased milage and I save money on diesel. My father-in-law runs over 50/50 in his second generation, and has been doing so for years. Neither one of us have had bad results. He has his diesel shop and is also a diesel mechanic at a gold mine. So he gets all the used oil he wants. He is actually the one that told me to do it.
