Two stroke Oil??????

I found the same thing 1oz/gal (128:1) is too high for the 3rd gens, I lost mileage too. Try a lower ratio like 200:1. Right now I'm still experimenting with 300:1 but initial tests show me better at the 200:1. Time will tell.

I will say,I'd be more inclined to use 2 stroke than the ATF a lot of old codgers still run in their diesel.
At least 2 stroke is designed to burn. ATF is designed to resist burning.

I use 2-stroke oil every fill-up, been using it for last 3 months since the price of Bio has skyrocketed in my area. I use 1-16oz. every fill-up,MPG is the same and injector rattle is GONE.
Might go back to Bio, but not too sure yet. 2-stroke is WAY cheaper than Bio.

no difference in economy for me...running either 16 or 32 oz
ive been running 16 oz per tank for the last 10000 miles, just quiets her down a bit and gives me piece of mind.
only time i dont run it is when i change my oil and dump 3 gallons of WMO in the tank

I have been usin 2 stroke the last two tanks, I put 10oz for 34 gallons and 8oz for 32 gallons and saw 1 mpg gain on both tanks. The truck is a little quiter but not to much. The only thing I worry about is the injectors, so I am runnin some Lucas this tank just to keep the injectors clean.

Not likely to make any real difference to fuel consumption at the ratios mentioned as there is little difference in the BTU content of two stroke oil to #2.
It can make a difference to the mechanical noise though.

Yes you can use it if you wish. I know of a person in northern MN who has used it for clso to 2 years now in his truck with out any problems.
