Two rear block plugs weeping 03 2500
I saw someone else post about it and I did a search to no avail.
Last 2 port side.
Has anyone pulled the plugs and resealed them with success? also, did you use tape or the sealer?
TIA for any info.
want to fix this weekend. I have tape and sealer ready.
come back.

I know fixing it isn't a big deal and can be done at home, but wonder if something like that should be taken to a dealer if only for warranty documentation purposes?
Guess I'll take a peek up there this weekend.

I'm with bulabula on this one. If your truck is under warranty take it back to the dealer. I know it a pain but if you have problems down the road you should not have warranty issues if the dealer corrects the problem. Don't give DC a reason to void your warranty if they see your fix.
Just my .02 worth.

The replacement block plugs tap in from the bowed side of the plug. It is a good idea to use permatex, non-hardening, gasket sealer on the new plug.
I would also recommend taking it back to the dealer's service department. If there are any casting flash problems with the holes, they can do the necessary reaming and cleaning before fitting the new freeze plugs.
