Two Piece Post...

1.) Truck is at the dealership...couple days ago, my fan started vibrating...no matter if it was A/C, heat, or just the fan, the higher up you turned it, the louder and more obnoxious the vibrating got (even vibrated the mirrors)...so I took it in and they had to keep it overnight...maybe 2 days

and on a second note...I did my tranny service about a week ago and got it a LITTLE overfilled to where it should be (in the safe area indicated on the dipstick) and I think that I have noticed that my temps are heating up a little bit quicker than normal (when in traffic) and take a little bit longer to cool when steady driving (like on the interstate)...sound normal and will it go away if I allow a little to run out?

Mine did the same thing last summer. Under the glove compartment i removed 4 screws holing the fan motor a yanked out the broken recirculating door, no more vibrating. The only problem with that is no more inside recirculating air, only outside, but cools fine. I am just curious how much the dealer would charge to fix it.

Truck is still under warranty...cool place too. They didn't give me a BIT of grief about my exhaust, intake, or modules...they just have to keep the truck over night is all...

I just went through this same thing. First time the truck was at the dealership for ANY repairs (25 months later).

Noise was horrible, sounded like the dash was going to come apart. They had my truck for a few days, I had a broken lumbar too.

Ac Fix

AC PROBLEM:
Part to fix cost $20.00, to get to it... a royal pain

THIS IS THE WAY IT LOOKS ONCE YOU GET TO THE BOX:

THESE ARE THE PARTS TO TAKE OFF TO GET TO THE BOX:

A CLOSE-UP OF THE BOX IN PLACE:

THE NEW BOX:

THE FOAM PART INSIDE OF THE BOX IS THE ONE THAT BRAKES:

THE NEW DESIGN IS 100% BETTER (The old one was just plain wrong)

Good post! Those pics were very useful for any future related problems...that looks like a PAIN to do!

Now if anybody could give me some insight on the tranny temp thing...nothing dangers as far as temps goes, I just notice a difference in the way it heats up and cools down...used all Mopar ATF+4...I'm boggled

Hi Mark,
A friend is a Super Mechanic/thec...so I do gofer duties.

FYI, Chrysler changed the fragile (pathetic) plastic pivot point of the shutter to a better rod design.
You can see it in the fourth picture, the white plastic, 5" left-up of my index finger. The rod goes across, connecting the shutter to the box instead of the 2 plastic (again pathetic) rounded tips from each side of the shutter connected to the box and serving as pivot points.

It is not that difficult but I usually get into trouble over-torquing and/or roughing a little plastic pieces. It is definitely easy if you know where to pull or push without breaking anything. Then again my friend probably made it look easy.
