TSB's

Since time is money, you'll probably have to ask them to accomplish anything. But not all dealers are the same either. It seems some dealers are more accomodating than others; and some are more up to date on TSB than others.
Mine was most gracious in doing the Safety recall reflash, but it was like pulling teeth for them to replace the alternator bracket. When they finally relented, it turned out that they didn't even have one in stock to replace it with. They ordered it but I haven't returned to have it replaced yet. I feel another teeth pulling experience.

I got a couple of TSB flashes done the other day. You do have to pull some teeth to get help, but I printed all the TSB info and handed it to them and they finally agreed. Seems like a lot of work after spending 50k but what do you do.

Whats the TSB # for the 2000rpm vibe. My first truck had that, the 2nd does not. But, I would like to read about DC's fix.

TSB'S are for specific vehicles and not for every truck that fits the build date window in TSB. Just because there is a TSB for your truck does not mean that you need to run and get it done. The TSB's are for specific problems on specific vehicles. Doing the TSB on a truck that does not have that paticular concern is pointless and may cause more problems than it is worth. And to answer your question kertoncol, yes TSBs are covered under warranty if you are still under warranty. If you are out of warranty than no it will not be covered. TSBs are not recalls so the dealer will only perform the TSB if your vehicle has the specific concern. You can not just walk into dealer and tell them you found TSB and you want it done just because, but they more than likely would be more than happy to do it for you if you have that particular concern.
