can someone tell me what the --TSB FLASH -- is.

 

TSB = Tecnical Service Bulletin, basically a manufacturer's internal document outlining problems discovered with specific vehicles and how to repair them. They are not recalls.

"Flash" is just a reprogram of your engine control module (computer). You can find a list of TSB's at the link below. Some call for reprogramming of the ECM.

Please either tell us the year and other details about your truck or put them in your signature.

If you have a 2004 with a manufacture date between February and August (I don't know the exact dates), then TSB 18-034-04 may apply to you. It claims to give you 1 more MPG. HOWEVER, some have noticed more after the flash, and some have noticed less.
