Truck will not start

Hey am a new guy I got a 2004 3500 auto an the motor build date is 04/04. It cranks fine but will not start with out help (starting fluid) didn't want to use it but it forced me to. once it starts it runs great it just does not like start warm or cold. I change fuel filter, new fuel, ran some seafoam through it.
an it still doesn't start there are no codes an there is 5,000psi at rail at start up. Transfer pump seams to work fine but i don't know what to do. there are no addons. Thanks,
Sam

Pull any codes? Could have excessive leakage pass high pressure connector tubes. Tighten to 37 Ft lbs.

1 - HIGH-PRESSURE CONNECTOR (TO FUEL INJECTOR)
2 - O-RING
3 - CONNECTOR RETAINER
4 - FUEL RAIL
5 - HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL LINES
6 - LOCATING PINS

There are no codes. I'll check the connecterer tube in the morning and let you know. it would be nice if that is all it was.

Sounds like a rail pressure problem. I'd guess injector or CP3 leak based on what others have found, but I don't know much! Good luck.

CP3 => hi pressure fuel pump. Left side front. Lift pump supplies the CP3 from the tank.

INJECTORS. The injectors in the 3rd gens are kinda crap the past couple of months I've put injectors in 4 or 5 trucks with your problem. Cummins traded one problem (vp44) for another. I made a set of caps out of old injector lines so I can go through and cap the ports on the rail one by one untill the truck will start. That will tell you wich one is giving you problems if you have a way of doing that. But its a good idea to do all of them if you got the $$$$.
