Truck vibration gone but still have sticky throttle
While i was booting around in my truck I gave it half throttle and this time it really stuck. my pedal was free but its like the FCA regulator or whatever controls fuel flow stayed open way too long. i almost got in accident. i swear to god that after i let off at 2000 rpm my engine maintained 2000 rpm for atleast 30 seconds. i was only going like 40 km in 2nd gear or so but i had to do a brake torque to slow truck down. what does this...cold weather......i replaced fca this past summer

when it did it did you have your egde box on? that might have caused it with the added rail pressure. that is called run-away and very common on cr trucks that have any type of box that adds rail pressure.

If that ever happens again, I think the smart thing to do would be to put the tranny in neutral instead of cramming on the brakes. That would be much much safer.

I doubt it would rev that high and if it did, how much is your life worth? I would hope you value your life more than your Cummins. If it saves your life but blows your engine, I would say it's worth it.
