truck tries to die when sitting at a stop
ok my problems are getting worse please help.
i have no codes and have checked all fuses. no cel nothing appears wrong except that the truck rpm's drop while sitting at stop signs, or what ever. also tries to die when manuvering slow. im really frustrated i also just had it in park and slowly gave it fuel and it started to stumble just over 1000 rpm up to about 1400 rpm ...
is my injector pump going bad or my lift pump or what im going crazy and my wife is really unhappy since i just bought the thing please help.

The first thing I would do is change the fuel filter unless you already have. Next would be to take off your bullydog programmer. Start there and report back.
Edited: Get a Fleetguard 7 micron or a Baldwin PF7977 filter.

If you are still on your stock lift pump, I bet that's it. Very common. Probably our most common failure on 03-04.5 trucks with the lift pump mounted on the back of the fuel filter housing.
If your truck is still under warranty...the dealer will replace it with the "in tank" style. If not, I would consider going ahead and putting on an aftermarket pump like the GDP Walbro or FASS system.
Good luck!

i have changed fuel filter and deprogrammed with no success
i guess i will have to try the lift pump. is it very hard to change over if its the one behind the fuel filter. or is it plug and play?

Most likely fuel pump going out. Try activating by bumping starter once but do not start engine. You should hear pump running if it is mounted at fuel filter housing. If not, try tapping it lightly with a small hammer while someone bumps starter. If it starts running then you have bad pump. This will also get your truck running if it has died on road because of fuel pump failure. I get no starts started this way everyday then I don't have to push to my bay. Tech tip.

One of the test for the FCA is to fill the fuel canister with 2 stroke mixture oil and then start the engine.
Another test is to remove the FCA from the CP3 and shake it. If it rattles it's ok, if not it's the plunger is stuck.

I hope for your sake there's less than 100K on the odometer and this is covered under warranty....
Keeping my fingers crossed that you're going to say it's under warranty.

Not under warranty
I just picked it up from the dealer and it runs perfect now.
it ended up being less money than originally quoted because they were able to find an old stock OEM inj pump so it was just under 3 grand for the total

4 grand for a CP3 and a lift pump? Holy cow.... I won't go into how much you could've bought a GDP setup and a modded CP3 for.

For that amount of money you shouldve got a modded CP3 and an Airdog, GDP, or FASS, even on a stock truck it would've helped alot! Not knocking you or anything, and glad the truck is back to normal at least.
