See above post, needs more then just the rear end (which is missing). Farmers Insurance has been pretty good to me, not great mind you, but pretty good. I have no problems with a used unit, I would just like to pick one of my choosing, preferably one from a member here on the board is why I posted. I understand with 115K on the clock why they would put a used one in, mine had 115K on it, why would/should they pay for a brand new one? I do not have a problem with it, understand the business part of it. I had a 95 Z71, and back in 96, with 20K on the truck, lady backed into my right front fender, damaged grille, fender, some other smaller things, and EVERYTHING that was replaced came straight from GM. No used parts. Big difference in a 1 year old truck with 20K as opposed to a 3-4 year old truck with 115K on it.

Just trying to find a used rear end that I know the history on if possible, thanks again.

Why not check with the Diesel Performance guys that are in Pearland. I cant recall the name of their shop but they were always mentioned at www.thedieselstop.com. I would check into slipping in a Dana 60/70 under there and get a locker unit to boot.

Just find one with low mileage on it have the oil changed and take a good look at the ring a pinion while the cover is off . In my book one that is properly broke in is better then a new one any day and being such a new rear end there is a very good chance all you will find is ones with very low miles ones out there .
I have had Farmers insurance for over 20 years and never had a problem with any claims , I hope all works out for you . Having your truck stolen is a experience I hope never happens to my Dodge and often wished happened to a couple Fords I have owned , but not even the thieves wanted them things and I don't blame them much .
