the other day i was out on the highway and had her pinned. the motor started to miss so i backed off it went away so i pinned her again and again it started to miss. today i started it up cold and she puked out alot of white smoke and it was missing so bad that it took about five seconds to get the turbo to spool. it would take off good once the turbo was fully spooled. after it warmed up it ran great and had no problems. i let her cool off and tried it again and sure enough it ran like it had only 4 cylinders and once it warmed up it started to run okay. my mechanic said it could be a sticky injector since i just for the first time ran some meaner cleaner through it. he gave me some additive to "lube" everything up so far no improvement. he also ran it for codes and everything was good so WHAT COULD IT BE....HELP

 

what i get from this is your not letting you truck warm up?
it was what -7 this morn here in edmonton?
thats plenty cold for a diesel
warm up under 0 c should be 10 to 15 minites
well that my rule anyway
also the newer diesels only run on 3 cyl's till they are warm enough

but your highway thing when warm sounds like a lift pump
