Trouble Code P0602

I have been testing a Smarty CR on my truck on the 90 hp setting with timing. SW5.

Anyway, tonight just for curiosity I checked the codes from the ignition on/off 3 times. It displayed Code P0602 which is "Control Module Programming Error/NotProgrammed ".

Does anybody know what that means? Is it anything to be concerned about? Hopefully the Smarty will clear the code or it will go away by itself.

And, other than that........i give the Smarty a thumbs up.

P0602 is a fueling calibration error code. its just a nuisance code and can be cleared when you return to stock.

Is the smarty a downloader type module? I get the same code with my Predator downloader. What this code means with me is that the stock program has been replaced - which it has - with another program off the downloader. It has no effect with my truck. The stock program is stored in the downloader.

That's just saying that your ECM fueling stuff has been messed with. And since the smarty screws with the ECM fueling stuff it threw the code. Nothing to worry about. I've got the same one on mine and as soon as I return the smarty to stock it goes away. Quit worrying and go have some fun.

P.S. How are ya liking the smarty on your truck and more importantly, when are you buying one?

I like the Smarty on Robert's truck, but I haven't been able to get him to turn it up to 170HP... yet! He doesn't trust the mighty 48RE to handle the truth.

Even on level 5, though, it makes a nice black puff before the turbo lights - sometimes a 2-second stream of coal We smoked out a couple of F**ds and at least one Ram (by accident), but I couldn't get him to roll coal over the little kids in the neighborhood... the Dark side beckons, but the Force is strong with him

I was impressed how he could get up to 90mph from one stoplight to another in town!
That reminds me - I wish the Admins would give us a Pucker Smiley

BB,

It is alot of fun! Course I have to have "responsible" fun. I really need to get a tranny , bad bad bad, to really see what the Smarty is capable of.

Let's see........280hp stock + 170 on SW9 = 450 according to my calculations with no other mods!

I get the code too and it does clear when going back to stock. Yes, I did actually run it on stock mode for a couple of days.

But your forgetting about the parastic 20% loss coming from the drivetrain. And you better be getting that tranny soon. Mine's coming in 3 weeks.

Your not getting a tranny in 3 weeks, that's for sure!! James is going under the knife on Monday. Doc said 6 weeks to heal properly. He might be able to do a little bit of supervising his helper after a few weeks though.
